Luggage Tag Necklace

When we were in San Francisco last year we went to the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and we wanted to get some souvenirs so we headed to the shop.  I found this super cool luggage tag that had a cool design on it.  I knew I'd never use it as a luggage tag, because we don't travel a lot.  So, I thought I'd put a chain on it and wear it as a necklace.  For the last year I've been doing just that, it's a little big but I don't see anything wrong with that.  And I love it!!!

Wedding Invitations

Tyson's sister is getting married next month and his mom, sister, and sisters-in-law are doing a wedding shower for her, so I offered to do the shower invitations.  I really wanted to try out my new silhouette and this would be a great opportunity to do that. We purchased the paper, twine, brads and got to work.  First I switched out the blade for a pen and had the cameo draw all the words (later we realized that wasn't the best idea, it took a long time to finish).  Then we cut out the leaf pattern on each invitation.  The flower in each of them had three cutouts, I think they turned out super cute.  Take a look at the finished invitation.  Tyson realized after most of the invitations had been put together and sealed in the envelopes that we forgot to put the date.  How could we have forgotten that right?!!!  I was freaking out, I had ruined the invitations.  I didn't know what to do, we couldn't redo all of them, I'd worked on them all week!  Tyson said we could use an address label and stick on the back of the envelope.  So, that's what we did...
Here are the flower detatils...

Silhouette Cameo

Tyson and I got a Silhouette Cameo for Christmas this year.  The Cameo is similar to a Cricut, but it is all computer based.  The Cameo can cut out paper, vinyl, and fabric as well as other things.  For more information visit their sight at: Silhouette America or you also visit their blog Silhouette America Blog for tutorials or fun craft ideas.  So far Tyson and I have made several vinyl stencils for shirts (okay mostly he did all the work) I will have to take some pictures, there have been a few that have turned out really cool.  I also have made invitations for a wedding shower that you can see here.
